Suggestions from the audience

I need a name for a character. He is a simply fellow, or at least thinks of himself as such, but when it comes to a situation of great need he will somehow manage to save the day and surprise even himself in the process. He is neither innocent nor uninformed. He is in his late 20’s. He can be relied on to keep a secret. He always seems to be there when he is needed. He is not afraid to make a fool of himself. He is brave when necessary, yet would rather it not be necessary.
Any ideas for a name for such a character let me know.

    Angelica.
    Pierre.

    How about ‘Bob’?
