The end is nigh… again!

So as the year draws quick­ly and rather qui­et­ly to a close I can’t help but reflect on where I was last New Years eve, and all the things that looked rosy and fab­u­lous for the com­ing year, and then I think of just how much of all of that stuff failed, lost loves and friends, things that could of been, but for one rea­son or anoth­er did­n’t turn out the way I would have liked.
While I’m used to things not turn­ing out like I planned, it has in the past been due to a lack of effort on my part, but this year… well I tried, I did my best, and noth­ing.
So things don’t turn out when I try, and things don’t turn out when I don’t… some­one wan­na sug­gest a third option here???
