Alan and Scott

They’re nice guys. Or at least I imagine they are, if I’d had meet them.
I read on Alan’s blog that they have now left the country. And so that ends my chances of meeting them.
This is not a sore point, I’m just a little disappointed at missing the opportunity but its not like I had a say in this one.
Perhaps another time.

  1. True, but that’s really something for Alan and Scott to decide. Perhaps if I had a party, then perhaps that would have been a great place to do something like that. But you know my friends, they tend to have a great reluctance to meet a boyfriend let alone a friend of mine; and you know a party would be actually unheard of. I don’t think our local friends think of us like that.
The other factor in their time here was that they didn’t have much time. I think you’ll find there’ll be other opportunities. They will return and they will be here for a longer period of time.
Though I have to ask you given the time you’ve known Greg, I haven’t met him either.

  2. Indeed.
However if this is to decend into “I’m not introducing you to my friends because you wont introduce me to yours” then I think you missed the point.
I do appricate that Alan and Scott where here for a very brief time, and that I hardly know either of them. I mean its not like reading someones work and thinking they’re a damn fine author is a reason to expect to meet them. And infact I didn’t expect to meet them, it just would have been nice to put a face to the text.
    Next time.

  3. And my point is that we don’t seem to do that stuff anyway.
