The saga of the Bernice story (I’m really going to have to find a title for it)

Mr David Gold­ing made some inter­est­ing com­ments about the Ber­nice sto­ry. He is right, the sto­ry is lack­ing. Doc­tor Who sto­ries require a con­flict, usu­al­ly a vil­lain or an evil of some sort. My sto­ry has none of this… is it pos­si­ble to write a Doc­tor Who sto­ry that does not fea­ture such con­flict???
There are some options that I’ve con­sid­ered to make the sto­ry more inter­est­ing, and more of a sto­ry… but I’m not sure how far I should take it. I like the idea of this sto­ry being an intro­duc­tion to the Doc­tor and his 14 com­pan­ions.
