It’s late on a wintry Thursday. I’m cold, and I have been on my feet all day. Christmas shopping perhaps. And a woman twice my age pushes past me in a queue. My evil sense is triggered. I follow her. This - to be fair - is a coincidence. But she is in my sights, a marked woman. One more misdemeanor on her part, that’s all it’ll take… Or the opportunity. Standing waiting for a train on a crowded platform, how easy it would be to push her, to treat her as nonexistent, the way she has treated me and everyone else she sees. In a parallel universe, I twirl my moustache-of-evil and give a healthy push. Here, I wait beside her, get on the train with her. Watch her, all the way home. She never knows how close she was.
The world never knows just how close it gets to being taken over and ruller by a ruthless dictoator… perhaps thats a good thing?
