Don’t you just hate it when you have something that you really NEED to talk about, but you don’t want to tell anyone you know about it at all. Tell a complete stranger. To this end we all should be ready and able once in a while to listen to a complete stranger. Hear what they are saying and give out the most obvious of advice. Sometime that is all people want.

Take this with a grain of salt as one who has not ever experienced organised religion. But isn’t that what confession is all about?
Have you seen In the mood for love? Talk to a hole in a tree or a wall, then cover it in mud or straw. Your secret will be known and you will be free of it. This works best if you can get to the Killing Fields.
To Olethros: I believe that the ‘confession’ of an organised religion is for the purpose of cleansing your sins, this requires that you have actually done something wrong. Secrets are not always bad things. To David Golding: Sounds like a neat bit of lore, and it would work too. It also works to talk to statues, or flowers, or your pet gold fish, some secrets are best locked in boxes.
