Broadsword

While typ­ing the per­vi­ous entry I was insert­ing 50 fly­ers in to 50 book­lets. So on my desk I was work­ing on both one of the lat­est forms of pub­lish­ing and one of the old­est.
But all the paper work has remind­ed me of the days of stuff­ing Broadsword in to envelopes. I know I don’t talke about my old fanzine here much (well, ever) but I kin­da miss the phys­i­cal­i­ty and tac­tile nature of it.
Any­way Broadsword hap­pened so long ago its not rel­e­vant any­more.
And no, I’m not putting a link. You all know where it is any­way.

  1. I beg to dif­fer. Broadsword is rel­e­vant in that it much more so than oth­er con­tem­porous pub­li­ca­tions defines unique­ly a peri­od of Dr Who fan­dom with­in Aus­tralia and to a degree world­wide. Tak­en at face val­ue to res­ur­rect or even pro­duce a broadswordish pub­li­ca­tion now would be fool­ish. How­ev­er this will nev­er dilute what broadsword did achieve.

  2. Sweet of you to say so Oletheros, and while I feel Broadsword prob­a­bly did do some­thing, I’m too close to ever know what that was.
