Well, now just two hours before leaving for the airport, then its off to Hong Kong for a day and then on to London. Strangely not feeling all the excitment one might expect.
I had meant to update the layout of this blog before going… I had meant to publish my itinerary, maybe a map showing where I was at… but other things got in the way.
However I think I’ve taken care of all the big stuff, so for the next four weeks I’ve just got to worry about having a good time 🙂

White Boys
performed by Melba Moore, Lorrie Davis and Emmaretta Marks
White boys are so pretty, skin as smooth as milk.
White boys are so pre‑e–etty, hair like Chinese silk.
I tell ya that white boys give me goosebumps, White boys give me the chills.
And when they touch my shou-ou-oulder, that’s the touch that kills.
Well, my mama calls them lilies, but I call them picadillies.
My daddy told me stay away.
But I say come on out and play.
White boys are so groovy, white boys are so tough.
Every time that they’re nea-ea-ear me, I just can’t get enough.
Oh, white boys are so pretty, white boys are so sweet.
White boys drive me cra-a-azy, drive me indiscreet.
White boys are so sexy, legs so long and lean.
I love those sprayed-on trou-ou-ousers, love the love machine.
Yeah my brother calls ’em rubble, thet’s my kind of trouble.
My daddy told me, “No, no, no, no.”
But I say white boys go, go, go, go, go.
White boys are so lovely, beautiful as girls.
I love to run my fi-i-ingers and toes through all their curls.
Give me a tall, a lean, a sexy, a sweet, a pretty, a juicy White boys (black boys) White boys (black boys) White boys (black boys) White boys…
Bits of everything
Well, been away, to a family weeding, one of my cousins is now married. Simply it was the best weeding I’ve ever been to, mostly because it was informal and taylored to suit the bride and groom.
My new computer has arrived, it’ll never be the same as Lukas, my trusty old Key Lime iBook, but Loki (the new 17″ iMac) will allow me to do all sorts of new stuff faster (not to mention the games).
I’ve managed to seriously piss of a friend… complex, not sure what to do about that… maybe appologise despite not being in the wrong.
Trying to get everything done before travelling, lots of loose ends to tie up, things I don’t want to have hanging over my head while I’m away. Especially my studies.
Out of focus
Ever since my computer was taken, I’ve been running on automatic, going to work, going to uni, going home again. Its like I lack the desire to do anything much at all.
Not interested in going to the movies, or clubs, or pubs, or a walk in the park, or picking up a pen and writting, or reading, or shopping, or any of the more colourfull activites.
I’m not a creature of habit, but I do have patterns, I check my email in the morning while I have my breakfast, sure I don’t respond to any of them, but it gives me the day to think about my replies. And now I’m just missing bits of the way I work…
A well earned Thursday
For some strange reason last night I was struck by mind-numbing fear that today was going to be Wednesday. I don’t think I could deal with it if a week had two Wednesdays, espically in a row. Its just plain sick.
This time yesterday…
About 24 hours ago my house was robbed. They got my laptop (along with other stuff, but this is my blog so lets just stick to the important details).
Lukas, my trusty Key Lime iBook, is gone. Forever. And with him goes all my most recent emails, password for web sites, finicial documentation. Sure I have a back-up… from over a month ago. My ICQ list, my porn collection, my online existance has been stollen… and whats worse is someone else could just go through all this info.
Really pissed of.
A room that is ‘mostly’ real
For those interested in what I’ve actually been doing at school here is a recent image:

A beautiful morning, despite the facts
Its one of those glorious, uplifting kind of days in Sydney this morning. The fact that I have a lot of work that I should have done but haven’t doesn’t even dampen the mood.
Instead I feel positive that I might actually get on top of things.
Perhaps I’ll get all my home work done, get to the gym, get the house work done, fix several friends computers, and have time for a birthday party. Perhaps.
London here I come…
Barbara (one of my sisters) is in London at the moment. She has been for a little over 2 months. Since she left Mum has been talking saying that we should all go over and visit her for Christmas. I wasn’t too sure how serious Mum was until she bought tickets for herself, Dad, my other sisters, and me.
We’re going to London for a month. God help the brits.
So all my plans to pay off my debuts and get my life into order just went out the window. I have two friends saying that if I’m going to be in London then I MUST go to Paris for a weekend at least, like there wont be enough to do in the UK. I have two friends saying that a month isn’t long enough, and I should try and draw out my trip as long as possible, like I could ever be satisfied and see it all.
And I’ve got no fucking idea how I’m going to do any of this, and why suddenly everyone thinks they know what is best.
I want to go to Ireland. I could easily spend the whole month in a pub in a small country town in Ireland.
I want to do the things that tourist don’t do.
I want… lots of things… still working on the list.
Brevity
That about covers it. (an old joke, but a classic)
