A note on the mulit-cultural, mobile society.
In days of old the people from a village or tribe would have all eaten the same foods, perhaps a whole trible would have not had milk ever, or a tribe that never ate fish. But with people from vastly different backgrounds interacting more and more, it sometimes becomes tricky to cater to all tastes.
We have almost completley lost the tradition of ‘this is what I like to eat because its what we ate in my town’.
Peoples diets are based on what their body does and doesn’t like, and then after that consideration, on a wide number of learnt experiences and beliefs.
In all, a good thing.
But try cooking a meal for a bunch of friends, one a vegan, one on a gluton-free diet, one who can’t have starch, and one who gets delierous if he had chilli.

Who am I anyway?
I think the only way to answer this question is the internet way, keywords.
So here goes, in no particular order:
Cool, controlled, honest, sydney, meticulous, shy, funny, kind, sensitive, nervous, loyal, encouraging, earth, gay, gentle, flexible, tolerant, emotional, vulnerable, creative, black, fussy, male, goatee, style.
Getting to know Drew…
Alex, Christian, Drew and Richard were all at the Tea Centre this evening.
So I am slowly getting an idea of who Drew is, what makes him tick, and stuff.
My impression is still that he is a nice guy.
Hmm, the brevity of this post is gonna kill Richard.
Life changing momnets?
Have you ever noticed that those big life changing moments that always happen in the movies don’t happen much in real life?
You wake up one day and realise that your different to the person you were ten years ago… but you can’t say when the change happened, or how, it just did a little bit at a time.
And your left hoping that the person you once were and the person you are now don’t hate each other.
Broadsword
While typing the pervious entry I was inserting 50 flyers in to 50 booklets. So on my desk I was working on both one of the latest forms of publishing and one of the oldest.
But all the paper work has reminded me of the days of stuffing Broadsword in to envelopes. I know I don’t talke about my old fanzine here much (well, ever) but I kinda miss the physicality and tactile nature of it.
Anyway Broadsword happened so long ago its not relevant anymore.
And no, I’m not putting a link. You all know where it is anyway.
All great truths begin as blasphemies. ‑George Berard Shaw
I wonder what great blasphemies of our time will be the truths for the next generation?
Considerate littering
When a smoker goes the extra mile to throw their cigarette but so to be sure it lands in a puddle rather than just of the ground.
Big Brother???

Take the Which Big Brother Housemate Are You? test by the Shrine of Insanity
But I never watched the show, so is this a good result or not?
Bored out of my brain
I’m at school, my new tutor has just spent the last five minutes explaining what http stand for! Not how it works, or how to add a link, just what the four letters stand for. I gritted my teeth and but up with this last semester…
Food poisoning
Woke up at 6:30, threw up and thought to myself:
Why does it always look like carrots? I didn’t even have carrots.
This can’t be good.
Doesn’t taste like carrots.
Oh no, not again.
Would be worse if it did taste like carrots.
Didn’t go to work.
Didn’t go to school.
Didn’t go to gym.
